Key Brazilian healthcare entities will gather at Medical Fair Brasil

Sectors such as medicine, diagnosis, nursing, hospital and industrial will be represented; public health departments have also confirmed attendance

Medical Fair Brasil will be held on May 5-8 in São Paulo and will bring together the key Brazilian healthcare entities. Organizations representing sectors such as medicine, diagnosis, and nursing, as well as hospital networks, industries and public health departments all confirmed attendance at the first national edition of the largest healthcare fair worldwide.

In order to meet all the needs of a continental country, the Brazilian healthcare system as a whole requires the union of the public and private sectors, also relying heavily on the strong performance of representative entities and those responsible for running countless businesses in the country. Medical Fair Brasil will act as a platform to broaden the relationships between these entities with potential products and solutions capable of meeting their internal demands.

“ABIMO, in working for the development of Brazilian healthcare industry and meeting the needs of this complex sector, accepted the invitation to act as a partner for Medical Fair Brasil, which not only demonstrates the confidence of the organizers in our skills and history, but also our commitment to always seeking and offering the best to our associates,” says Franco Pallamolla, President of ABIMO (Brazilian Association of Medical, Dental, Hospital and Laboratory Equipment Industries), an entity that assumes the role of institutional supporter of the event with a long-standing relationship with Messe Düsseldorf assisting national manufacturers with exhibitions in the main editions of the event around the world.

The National Council of Municipal Health Secretariats (CONASEMS) and the National Council of Health Secretariats (CONASS) will participate in the fair by presenting the obstacles of the public healthcare system. “Having an edition of the MEDICAL Fair in Brazil that enables dialogue with managers of the public system is a major opportunity to discuss innovation and new technologies, especially for primary care,” says Mauro Guimarães Junqueira, executive secretary of CONASEMS.

The Brazilian hospital network is extensive and riddled with needs to promote quality care in everything from basic healthcare to highly complex procedures. According to the report “Scenario of Hospitals in Brazil”, published in 2019 by the Brazilian Hospitals Federation (FBH) and National Health Confederation (CNSaúde) – entities that will also attend Medical Fair Brasil – there are 6,702 hospitals in the country, totaling 410,225 beds. CMB, the largest hospital network in Brazil, will also be present.

“In a constant search for solutions to make their management more sustainable, managers of this vast Brazilian hospital network will be able to find ideal solutions at Medical Fair Brasil to improve their internal flows and patient care, whether they come from the public or private network,” says Malu Sevieri, director of the fair.

Medical Fair Brasil also supports the Brazilian Association of Importers and Distributors of Healthcare Products (Abraidi), Brazilian Association of the Professional Cleaning Market (Abralimp), Brazilian Association of Diagnostic Medicine (Abramed), Brazilian Association of Parenteral Solutions Manufacturers (Abrasp), São Paulo Medical Association (APM), Regional Nursing Council of São Paulo (Coren SP) and Congress of Professional Development in Nursing (Condepe).
